Anyone got a used one they want to sell? I've had one on order from Suncoast for 7 months now with no ESD in sight.

Man, I wish this was available for the 991.2.

I recently went to a fixed rear deck on my 991.1 and am getting the warning light regarding the 3rd brake light. From what I've read, there's a specific harness used in 991s with a fixed rear wing so that the controle module knows to use the 3rd brake light appropriately and doesn't keep throwing a code error everytime it thinks the spoiler should be going up.

Does anyone know the part number for this harness? The closes Porsche dealership to me is about an hour and a half away and when I called to schedule an appointment for reprogramming, they didn't sound like they were very familiar/confident that they could simply recode it (despite the fact that so many of our members have said that it's a relatively simple process).

I've been looking through some of the Ducktail threads, but haven't been able to find the answer to this yet.

The dealer thought it would take about an hour and a half (~$175) to do, so if the harness exists and is less expensive than that, I'll just go that route.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction!

And, because I know the request is coming, here's what the *almost finished project looks like.

no harness here. The previous owner had it reprogrammed.

I went through this. I had to go to the dealer to get "sport design package" programming done. They charged me $250 for what literally takes about 2 minutes. Some people have jerry rigged harnesses to somewhat work, but the proper way is getting it programmed at the dealer.

You also get an error message in the MFD when you get up to speed so that's a big no-no for me.

I've searched high and low but can't seem to find a definitive answer:

Can the 991.2 "mini duck" Sport Design rear spoiler fit on a 991.1 4S (dealer programming notwithstanding)?

There are different part numbers for the painted cover between the generations but I don't know that this makes the retrofit impossible. Someone mentioned that the "base" under the cover (the motorized/mechanical portion) is also different but are the mounting points/dimensions different?

TIA!

Yes....even with the rewiring of the harness you will get an error at around 65MPH. If you stay under that speed you are golden though

I remember when that 991.2 mini duck spoiler came out, and the folks at Suncoast were pretty adamant of it not fitting. Also you shouldn't need programming as it's only a plastic piece on the mechanical spoiler mechanism. With that said, no one has tried that I know of.
