Nice congrats! The 993 would have fit much better in that garage! Nice bike collection, looks like my basement, my garage is also small, and the bikes have no business being around the 911!

Congrats and welcome. Glad to see you're sharing some quality time with your daughter. My kids (young adults) pretty much left me alone to ogle the car, although my son did accompany me to Nashville to buy the car and drove home...great bonding trip. My garage is messy but the 991 prompted me to get off my butt and clean it. Much better now ;-)

Sorry to drop my first post and then disappear LOL. This collar bone healing got a bit complicated with neurological issues but I am back healed enough to drive my manual car so I’m happy. I got out yesterday and got a few pics in an industrial area that came out pretty decent just on my iPhone.

FVD tune file sitting in my inbox so I will report on that also. Be well!

Ha ha yes I realize that 993 was just too small for me anyway some taller guys fit in fine but did not work very well for me. Well I can’t ride for a while so yes I think I can keep the bikes a little further away LOL

As I'm sure you've read, opinions are mixed on RAS - some folks feel the car is more puristic without it anyway.

Interested to see how the decals look when you get them...
thank you! I posted some pics of the stripes let me know what you think.

Yes I will do that I will post up the options from van analytics.

The forum has a longstanding (unwritten) rule that orange side-markers must be removed, destroyed and replaced with clear ones within a month of purchase.
Two major areas of concern..
1. The stroller precariously leaning next to the passenger door.
2, The 743 tires next to the drivers side door.
The panels on these cars are strangely soft.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thank you. Yes I had to have a manual. Both of my M cars prior to my first foray into the Porsche world with this car were manuals and I love rowing gears. Don’t worry I moved that stroller LOL

Post pics with the stripes...
Thank you and thanks for sharing about your daughter. I waited to have kids (I am 45 and she is 2) and my daughter is everything to me even though I thought I was happy before. I cannot even imagine anything happening to her. When I saw Hamilton, the song "Imagine the Unimaginable" is the closest I have had that feeling. Hearing your story certainly makes me stop and appreciate her even more. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. No matter the age that is always your little girl. God bless.

Yes, stripes are on top. Thanks! Yeah, I would actually consider that. (or even just the wheels). There are some sweet 991 GT3's out there with nice (and bright) painted wheels.

Gorgeous. Being Carolina Blue is all the better. I really wanted the Porsche side stripe on my 50th Anniversary but didn’t mainly to keep the car period correct. Plus I’m not convinced anything goes that well with my car’s metallic geyser gray.

Yes, she seems to love the car. Now that I can drive again I have a car seat for her and she loves riding in the car. I hope we can have many fun experiences in the car. Calls is the vroom vroom car lol

Enjoy your 991!

Thanks! She is a little ham and loves doing anything I do, She loves riding in the car!

Yes, I guess this is why they call it a dream car because I feel completely satisfied with the car in a way I never did with my M cars.

Thanks! Yeah, that makes sense although I did find it really fun to get the stripes done. If you are keeping a long time you could do something fun and reverse it later. I am going to enjoy for a while and then wrap the whole car blue with orange stripes. Thing is it looks so great now who knows when that will be. The white has a pearl in it and just looks so nice certain times of day. Never had a white car but loving now with the stripes.

My last white 911 was a 09 997S, and I swore off white although I’ve reconsidered a time or two depending on the car. On the 991 it really needs something to break up all the white. Yours is a stunner in white and even would be without the R stripes, but I like exactly what you did. I also like that you left the brake lights alone. Well if you go Gulf colors that will be awesome too. Speaking of Gulf, the LeMans website has a ton of Gulf merchandise. I just added a few tees including a Gulf 24h tee.
