Wondering if driving the car is a smart idea with all the ash in the air/filters !

Well it washes off well enough, and I have more precious cars in the garage - well technically that's debatable but the insurance rules decide which car sleeps in ;-) The 991 gets the boot !

haha - white! That was under SFO’s Martian skies yesterday. Really spooky - apocalypse like - gotta say I totally get the science of what happened but seeing dusk skies all day was really off putting, my lizard brain was firing up, it was so odd...

Wood ash should be softer than anything in the engine, but it could be a reason to change filters and oil.

Volcanic ash would be another story!

Was in SF over the weekend, air quality was terrible... no better where I’m at inland.

I thought that was some cool see-through emblem sitting on a cheap Formica counter top. A white car...yikes! The sky is hazy where I am in SoCal but not really any ash and no smell of smoke. I hope you have some N95 or better masks!

keep the ash off the car. our Macan parks outside and it's covered. when mixed w/ water the ash can become acidic.

I've been hosing it off every day or 2...
