So I installed fabspeed sport headers + Fabspeed supersport xpipe on my 991.1 C2 3.4L and noticed I get a lot of soot that shoots onto my garage door / floor during cold starts. These pics were taken today and I’ve been running this set up for alittle over a week.
Car runs and sounds amazing, just curious if this is excessive.
1. Is this normal?
2. If not, what would be some concerns?
Thanks!

Watch your oil levels. My wife's 2011 Audi A5, as it got older, that symptom became worse and worse. I had to add a quart of oil about every two weeks up until she sold it. That year of Audi was known for it's engine oil consumption problems.
You changed your entire exhaust and now its running rich, to be expected. In times gone by, you would have to re calibrate the DME for the more open exhaust or if you go WAY back, re-jet the carbs. However, your car's computer will adjust the settings over time in a modern car, so I suspect that after a couple hundred miles this will no longer be an issue.

In the meantime, apologize to everyone driving behind you...
the ratio of gas to oil is 50:1. It if ain’t smokin’ it’s broken!
Lol the funny thing is I didn't realize it was already in your signature. Great bike - I always wanted one (or an RD400) in the classic 70s yamaha bumblebee/king kenny roberts livery.
My car drips exhaust soot at cold start but nothing like this. I have the Soul exhaust with valve controller no headers though.
I would go nuts if my exhaust would spit on my garage door lol
exactly why I posted it on the forums! Never seen so much soot...read about it from others but everyone just talked about the exhaust tips...not the Hershey squirts on walls lol

great to know...I probably put a solid 300+ miles on this set up, cleaned my garage door and floor so I’ll update if I get less squirts!

I have HOA in my neighborhood...So unfortunately I try to be a good neighbor and start it with the garage door closed lol. When I had my trackhawk I let it open so everyone could hear the sweet sound of American bald eagles coming from that 6.2L Hemi V8 lol!
