Sell my .2GTS for a 992 so I can tune it to 600hp?

I had a discussion with my tuner a few days ago. He said he could get my GTS to 605hp/700nm. This is done through, Mcchip DKR turbo MC600 + stage 4, Fabspeed Header, Fabspeed Sports cat.
Now.. The GTS is a more special model than Carrera S. Do you think that it is ok to tune an uncommon car? My GTS is the only Carmine GTS in my country.
I’d like to read your thought written through words on this dilemma. Sell .2GTS and go 992CS or nahhh tune the GTS.

If you want 600 reliable HP, just buy the GT2RS and call it a day.

Tune it. If you still want more then sell and get the 992. If you can afford a 992 then the cost of the tune is inconsequential. If you still want more then go for the hardware... If you really want a 992 then just fast forward to that.

This. Learned a long time ago you should buy the power you want (notice I didn’t say need). Else be prepared to deal with catastrophe if you push it long and hard enough as the car isn’t made to handle the additional stresses. Stock or close to stock means a good balance of power and chassis. That is usually what Porsche strives for. Ultimately peak power figures are a near meaningless number. 0 to 60 times are not meaningless. Buying a 991 Turbo S shaves a second off the 991 GTS 0 to 60 time (4 seconds versus 3) and does it reliably. I doubt mods will get you that and certainly not reliably.

Not only that, but the cost to put that power down and stop it makes it cheaper just to buy instead of build... Most times, the HP you're targeting to compete with XYZ cars has completely different gearing, traction control and other parts designed to work in harmony and actually use that power. Brakes and suspension for example. Just depends on what you're trying to do... 1,000hp isn't going to get you around a mountain road faster than a stock, base 987

A GTS is as pleb as any Carrera, which is as pleb as any over produced current GT car. You're already halfway home with the bigger turbos, which means yes you should create and drive a 700hp GTS. You'll be close to the car and in love, which likely won't happen in a stock 992. Unless of course we're talking about an early MSRP GT3 buildable allocation, in which case disregard everything I said.

Generally saying, a modding view add more stain to the already good engine and setup. I think that in turn increase the chance of blowing up. Some data would be lovely though

I don’t live on the mountain. Most of the time I spent is on straightway. I probably wouldn’t tune the ecu if most of time is on mountain run haha.
