Default Capristo 991.1 Exhaust

Has anyone installed the Capristo Exhaust on their 991.1?

https://capristoexhaust.com/product/...stem-with-pse/

Looking to upgrade my 2013 C2S with PSE. I have read most of the previous threads about this topic but noticed little to no mention on this Capristo setup and I've been offered this system by a local shop.

Seems pricey. Have you looked into Soul? Heard great things about them.

Capristo makes a beautiful system, however it tends to be pricey, right up there with Akrapovic. You can't go wrong with either if you are willing to shell out the bux. I have a Tubi on mine, and its been on there for 6 years now. It's terrific and a lesser price than the other two top brands (still not cheap). Quiet when off the gas, makes delicious wailing noises when hard in at 3,800 rpm +.

Tuned full exhausts have an expensive tone to them, whereas simple X Pipes are just cheap Mustang loud. You don't say where you are located, but if around Wash DC you are welcome to hear mine on my 2014 S.

My local dealer will price match maybe yours could as well.

This should be a straightforward install.
I realize how the wording in my original post could be misinterpreted: My C2S already has PSE and I'm looking to upgrade from that. Sorry for any confusion I've caused.

I also have the X51 package installed so it already has upgraded headers if that makes a difference in recommendations to anyone.

Capristo is one of the best. Luckily in Charlotte you can get one locally at GMP. PM me for an intro to the owners. I went iPE who have a similar but better to me sound (completely subjective!). I'm local so you can hear mine any time.

I'm on the same boat of choosing between Capristo or IPE (Armytrix, FI etc..) IPE is in lead now due to its high pitch. Would be great to hear more of your thought on IPE!

Would it be too loud after using several months or years? How about the build quality & reliability? Thanks!

From my research: If it's the high pitch sounds you're after you'll want the iPE F1 exhaust. If you're looking for a more traditional but aggressive/deeper flat 6 NA sound then Capristo will be more suited to that.

Once I pull the trigger on mine I'll share the results.

You're right on point with this. IPE has the higher pitch while Capristo has more of the "rumble". Two different sounds and ultimately comes down to what each owner likes. These are two of our best sellers for the 991 platform. If anybody needs an unbiased opinion on which is right for you based on what you want out of the exhaust feel free to reach out to me and I'll help you with that & also a deal on the order.

Thanks! As far as you know, is there any big difference in build quality & reliability among these two? (I'm also considering Armytrix & FI..)

5 years with iPE. It’s flawless and amazing. Gets just as much love as the GT cars at the PCA events for sound.

valves closed is a slightly sweeter stock sound level. Minimal and certainly much less than the video on iPE’s site with race headers on the used example.
