This is interesting. I do recall how in March/April timeframe many who were looking stated they wanted to wait till prices fall drastically due to Covid-19 impact on economy, but the effect has been completely opposite. Just goes to stress the fact that when you find exactly the car with options you want, it's time to make the best deal you can and pull the trigger - missing a golden opportunity and the car of ones dreams is not worth missing for a couple of thousand bucks.

Ha, yea I heard people saying that with houses too. But all that happened was people with $$$ from the city leaving for the suburbs driving housing prices up higher too.

As I've said before, people in the market for a Porsche are not those that are affected by Covid-19, and they certainly aren't sitting around waiting for those $1200 stimulus checks, assuming they even qualify for them.

I'm looking at used 911s for the first time, and I can confirm that everyone else had the same idea to cure the COVID blues that I did. Multiple cars that I had reached out to dealerships about got sold between my voicemail/email and anyone getting back to me. One that I test drove sold in the 2 hours between me leaving the dealership to think it through and calling back to put down a deposit. So basically the lesson is - I should probably wait a few months and see if things quiet down... or be ready on the trigger!

I wouldn't be surprised if they stay there. The NA cars are going to hold value, not that there is anything wrong with the turbo cars. But just like the air cooled cars, the last NA 911s will maintain a good value. Cars like yours, especially.

When I was shopping, I didn't know I was buying one. More so window shopping. Then I saw my car and jumped on it. Life's too short to wonder what if or miss the car to gets you going.

There was a two week window in April when about three dozen 991s were listed at various dealers and second hand lots for very cheap. They all sold very quickly. I hesitated and missed out in one by an hour. So you are correct, if like/want it, buy it. Once those cars were all gone prices skyrocketed.

I also think it depends on the market. I had my 2013 C4S cab listed for sale for a month at $60k on Autotrader and had a few nibbles but no one serious. The car is white with beige interior; PDK transmission, power steering plus, multi-function wheel, 14-way sport seats, heated & ventilated, Bose audio package w/ cd-changer and hard-drive, satellite radio, Bluetooth, premium-plus package, Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Porsche Stability Management System (PASM), comfort access, auto dimming mirrors, homelink, interior light package, updated navigation map, never smoked in, garage kept, covered under Fidelity platinum warranty until 9/2021, sport techno wheels w/ summer tires (and Carrera S wheels with winter tires), clear turn signals), 48k miles, only dealer serviced (including recent 40k service in 2019). Since I didn't need to sell it, I just kept the car and continue to enjoy it.

I too missed out on 991.2 by a few hours. Was In the hunt for a 17-18 Cab with a manual transmission and all the search engines throw me off as dealers list PDK as manuals. I guess I can wait.
