Took it in yesterday for 2-year service so perfect opportunity to have it checked out. My alignment was not in spec.

The other two wheels that were out of spec have relatively new tires on them and weren't exhibiting unusual wear yet (thanks COVID!).

The wheel was replaced along with an alignment. We'll see what happens.
Do you have rear wheel steer?

Here's 20,000 miles on rear tire Super Sports. The 991 platform is super easy on tires, as compared to my prior 911s. Very pleased.

Had the same issue with wear on my TTS on my last set of MP4S rears. Dealer realigned and adjusted camber and my wear on the new set is more consistent. Camber was off slightly which is enough to cause excessive inside tire wear.

So what is the final answer here, what are the proper settings to avoid this wear pattern

Define "proper". And how many miles do you want out of your tires? What kind of performance?

Had this happen on one set of tires on their third track day. Has not happened since on the next 8 sets of tires and I did not adjust the alignment

i also have RWS with rear camber at -2. Have gone through 20 sets of tires on this car, only happened once.

Proper? seeing belts on the extreme inner edges while the rest of the foot print looks serviceable just seems wrong

Roger Kraus Racing in Castro Valley did my alignment when I got my new MPS4S tires 2.5 years and 18k miles ago, and my tires are wearing like they could go another 10k miles easily. I specified a street alignment because that is the type of driving I'm doing (no track days). Best alignment I've ever had. My car is a 2015 C2 with non-PASM suspension, lowered on Techart springs.

Could I use the same specs on my car, which is not lowered and has PASM?

Default Tire Wear

All of the threads that I’ve read make sense, but I honestly feel that the camber or toe can be adjusted to avoid massive treadwear. As for the service advisors saying it’s normal, it’s just a means of the dealership making money. I’m already starting to see negative camber on my new 992 and it only has 2900 miles on it! 😬
