I received the settlement letter. If you read the entire agreement at the end it states attorneys administrating the settlement will receive approximately $3,500.00 for processing your individual claim which was $150.00 reimbursement for polarized sunglasses. I didn't take the money. I was looking for a solution.

My dash is espresso with cognac seats. So I don’t have the dash glare issue but I am a Florida owner so I have Suntek Ceramic tint on the windshield and rear window, higher % on the sides. Cuts down on glare and also keeps car cooler.

Fubar on the lawyers. Have my own glasses (like the 99.97%) and I’m used to the glare. Maybe my car’s leather beige is less reflective than the standard dash. I’ve had too many black interiors.

The first Porsche I ever went to see at a dealer had a beige interior and asked the sales guy to take it outside, the first thing I noticed was the dash glare in the windshield. I had a light grey dash in a previous car and knew it was going to be a problem. So I said thank you but no thanks.
That's when he mentioned that the owners of such cars had received a credit for polarized sunglasses. My reaction: WTF!

I have a black interior and the glare I get is my one major pet peeve with this car. Polarized glasses are fine but they are not 100% effective, and they reduce view of the instruments.

Well, someone has to feed the lawyers. 23 for them, 1 for you sounds about right.

I've got 3m crystalline tint that was on mine from the previous owner. Its handled the majority of the problem, I believe it's 15% tint.

I have a black dash and can't stand the glare that I get from the aluminum trim! It's almost like a mirror glaring into my eyes and that's with polarized sunglasses.
I'm going to change the steering wheel trim to black. That seems to be the most offensive when driving around. I haven't had the chance to drive with the sun setting behind me to know if the aluminum dash trim will reflect as well. I might do carbon interior if it does.
GL! Luxor beige does look really bright in pics to me. I can imagine it's bright in the sunlight.

Just wear polarized shades. Problem solved. The issue with possible glare is well worth it to me, here in Texas it gets miserably hot in late summer and the luxor interior is MUCH cooler than black... besides, I honestly never go outside without good shades anyway.

I got a Black one of these...

Dash Care Dash Pad

Wont win any car shows with it, but it beats the light dash...

I just layed it over the dash no attach points at all...

Fit and quality is nice for the money... was a no brainer for me...

YMMV...

my first 991.1 S had tan interior (non leather).. horrible glare and door trim separating on both doors (great job Porsche QC)

Polarized sunglasses did a great job reducing almost 90% of the glare, give it a shot

I'd see if a custom interior shop could cut and apply black leather or another material to the dash top. Look in the back ads in your Panorama monthly magazine. Maybe one of the seat upholstery vendors knows a place that does or sells something like this. Worth a try.
