Default Help! GLARE on My “new” 991 with a tan dash

Really like this car today was the first time driving on a sunny day. Wow the tan dashboard really sets up glare/reflection on the windshield.
Anyone else have the same problem? Ideas to minimize or eliminate this?

I had a 991.1 with Luxor Beige interior, and to be honest, the dash glare was something I noticed only after reading about others' complaints on Renn/6Sp. You really do get used to it after a while.

If it continues to bother you, you can always purchase a dash cover (or have a shop make you a custom-fit one) to eliminate the glare.

I suggest you look into tinting your windshield with a high quality ceramic tint.

Porsche used to offer 300$ to owners of this interior; meant for sunglasses purchase.

Polarized sunglasses apparently work. Bo experience personally. My dash is black.

It was a class action lawsuit. The settlement was $75 for polarized sunglasses.

Yep, either wear polarized glasses or get a dash cover.

My car has a full beige interior and I only notice the glare when I pull into my garage. The sun from outside and the lack of light in the garage somehow create glare. Once I pull far enough in to the garage, the glare goes away. Otherwise, I don't actually notice any glare on a day-to-day basis. It may be because I normally wear polarized sunglasses anyway if the sun is out, so perhaps that is the solution as others above have said.

Go to https://shadyrays.com/ and get some polarized sun glasses. That's the easiest. FWIW, I always choose an interior color option that has a black or dark dash, even if the rest of the interior is lighter, to reduce sun glare.

Luxor Beige owner here. It depends on the day, but yes- it really can get bad on certain sunny Texas summer days. However after a little while I get over it and focus on bringing my speed to 'only' 15 over the posted limit lol...

I thought I would prefer the Luxor Beige, but going back to black or a dark grey next time, no question.

I have Luxor Beige and the glare is a real problem. I have noted that Porsche now warns about this when you are configuring a car. I have always used polarized sunglasses and they reject the glare very well. I wish the biege color scheme was two-tone with a darker tone below the windshield. Audi does that. I'd like to try a dash cover but don't know where to get a nice one. When its dark out and I'm not wearing sunglasses I sometimes get bad glare when driving under bright lights. I like a light interior but I might skip beige if there is a next time.
