Mine stopped blowing... so it makes the most sense to just change both parts when you’re in there? About how long did it take?
I already went in to the frunk and spun the motor by hand to see if it was just stuck and no luck. Of course the fuse diagrams do not match my car why would they.

My takeaways:
- Step 1 and 2 I think have to be done. I could not get glove box out without getting 2 out of the way. 6 I don't think was necessary. Step 1 (and installation in reverse) sounds like it'd be easier with the glovebox open but I think it's better with it closed.
- I don't see any reason to take the vent out. I didn't and no issues.
- I had no idea what the black trim piece below the vent was because mine is tan.
- Getting the pressure on the tabs right to get the cupholders out I thought was not explained well. If you think of the clip as a football goal, I jammed the slotted screwdriver under the horizontal bit (which is on the cupholder assembly, where the uprights are the clip it clicks in to). I have no idea if this was right and could not understand it looking at the clips after but it worked for me.
- Getting the fan in and out sucks.
- Make sure you shove the media wires all the way back into the hole in the glovebox and feed all the way through before screwing the glovebox in. I got mine caught and had to take the glovebox back off again.
- Take the footwell light off the glovebox before you take it off.

It continued to work properly, and I made it home without issues, including several hours of torrential rain driving through the remnants of Hurricane Delta on the ATL-Birmingham stretch.
I have been home for a month and it continues to work properly. Not unusual given some of the previous reports. My CPO lasts until June.....hopefully it will act up before then.

.....
2. While removing the side screw, i unintentionally dropped a tiny torx bit. It was close to the fuse box. Not only it would be dangerous having a loose piece of metal there, but also it would be rattling around the car. Had to strip some of the liners, but eventually fund it in a much more accessible place.
