991 Indy Mechanics.
I read the "Am I getting ripped off?" thread about dealer service charges and it made me think that a regional listing of good/fair Indies might be an idea for the 991 generation cars, as they are all either out of or heading out of warranty with no new models being produced.
I admit to not searching, but thought it might be a worthy "sticky" thread if one exists as these cars age.
I like both dealers I work with but would be happy to receive recommendations for any good, reasonable Indies in Cleveland, Columbus or Canton areas. I would at least like to compare pricing for various jobs to see what the free bottled water costs.
Anyone have suggestions to post, either for me or anywhere around the country(ies)?

For those in or around Athens, GA you can't do any better than Rich Dean at Classic Design and Fabrication. Possibly the best mechanic I've ever met. Racing is in his blood and he specializes in Porsches... though you're bound to find a plethora of exotics and dream builds throughout the shop.

Portland Oregon Indies:
Matrix Integrated, I've used them for years. Great shop 2 locations now in Portland, and 1 in Bend.

Also, I can highly recommend AR AutoService - Eddie is a racer and all around good guy.

Do not under any circumstances take your car to Porsche Huntington. The service manager is stubborn liar, even when presented with facts.

Anyone in Northwest Florida can just come on over to my house with your parts and a six-pack of beer, and be ready to share a few good stories. I have all the tools and knowledge required to do all maintenance items, including a QuickJack mini-lift, and can even help troubleshoot and possibly repair non-maintenance things.
