Default T wheel color

Hello, purchased a used T that was spec’d with black wheels. Not a fan of the non matching colors so either painting mirrors/rear grill black to match or need to source some wheels

Were the original gray wheels a standard S color or were the wheels specific to the T? If standard color, what was the specific color?

Thanks in advance

Yes LexVan, thank you. I have looked through that thread. Lots of beautiful T’s.

Specifically, I am looking for the color gray that came stock on the T. Suncoast sells the replacement emblems in Agate Gray so not sure if the wheels were Agate Gray or Platinum gray or some other gray.

Hopefully I can find a used set of wheels just need to know if I'm looking for a needle in a haystack or if it was a stock color from

First off, congrats! The colors is right!
But the wheel color is wrong!!!
The T wheels are bespoke. Porsche used Titanium Metallic for them. Paint code D7Z. It's a common color through the years in the Volkswagen group, so you should be able to source some. Good Luck and welcome to the T Army!

Awesome, thank you. I’m sure I can order from dealer but if looking for used, I would need to find a take off set from a T, is this correct? Thanks again for the info

The Carrera S in platinum looks pretty similar, though I guess it's not the same exact color?

OP, keep in mind that the T from factory had non matching gray tones as the mirrors, grill, decals, etc. are in Agate Gray and the wheels are in Titanium as mentioned above. To me they look very similar. The point is that if you want matching grays you will need Agate wheels.

The wheel package at Suncoast is actually what prompted the question

Agreed but I would just put back to OEM spec. That is what I meant by “matching”. OEM would be fine for me as that is what Porsche intended.

Gotcha. So it sounds like you're after the OE T wheel. That said, I think the dark wheels on your white car looks pretty good. Doesn't bother me that it doesn't match the mirrors, stripe, or rear grille. None of those are the exact same color anyway.

Titanium is the color...the mirror/grille etc are Agate. But, Agate would work.
