25% Discount off 2019 911
#17
This will happen, I picked up my 2013 C4S back in late 2014 for almost 30% off, it was a launch vehicle with 220 miles but full warranty
it was well optioned, was missing the SC pack but had everything else

Get the 992
I would rather pay more for a better car than less for an inferior one.

If you're buying the deal, take the 25% and run! Discounts of this magnitude on a NOS car only rarely show up. In "normal" times, once the newest model frenzy has died down, you can generally negotiate ~5-6% on a current model. Good hunting...

25% off is a great deal on a 991.2. Nobody knows if the 992 will see such deals. Why not drive both models and see if which one you like better? How can anyone else make this decision for you?

Thanks everyone for the insight. I really do appreciate it. Yes I agree that I just need to drive both and see which I like more.
one thing I obviously don’t want to do is make my decision purely from a financial standpoint (as some of you pointed out) - gotta love the car first and foremost, that discount is so tempting however.
will keep y’all posted!

What’s the depreciation on a car once you drive it off the lot? What about a year later?
If it adds up to 30%, you may only lose 5% if you decide to sell it for a 992 later on. Trade-in might be 10%, but even that’s not bad.
Something about this 25% makes me skeptical. I wonder what the final out the door price will be or maybe there’s a discount for some other reason? Too good to be true often is.
Does your state make you pay the full tax on purchase price regardless of trade-in like Illinois now does? Maybe that’s a factor.
Either way, if it’s a good car and you buy it, you cannot lose too much more if we go for a 992 later on.

That would be a good deal if the specs were exactly what you wanted. I could not find a Targa that was even close to what I wanted so I had to order one at 6% off, and I still added PCCBs after taking delivery. Some people will settle for something and some will not so a big discount often comes with settling.

The 2019 is a more desirable car for me due to the “old tech” interior. GTS is rated at 450 HP so it’s not down in engine to the 992, if it’s a PDK, one less gear in the trans, the “old” PDK isn’t obsolete because of that.
If the options are acceptable, 25% is a really good deal and that GTS is scarce, don’t hesitate too long, others looking for similar cars have reported them hard to find.
