Default Carrera T tuning

I'm looking to get my car tuned and I'm curious as to which one most Carrera T owners get.
Let me know which tune you went with and how happy you are with it.

Cobb and APR are the Big 2 as I call them and used a lot by 991 (and many others) owners - search this forum on "tune" and you will find pages and pages of feedback.

From what I gathered, Cobb has convenience of at-home tune with handheld and APR has more power but doesn't offer at-home tune option yet.

Bump just wanted to see where we stand in 2023 on this? I have a Cobb AP for 991.1 Carrera that I can have Cobb upgrade to a 991.2 for $550. Alternatively, I can sell it for about $900 and get APR tune for like $1350. If I am staying with Cobb it makes much more sense to upgrade than sell and buy new.

APR seems like a really nice solution, but you cant custom tune it, but at same time if its a great tune, why mess with it?

So in 2023 whats the move?

I could eventually see myself wanting GTS turbos, manifolds, catless downpipe, and the Tial inlets etc. No interest in anything but 93 octane.

Manual car so no need for TCU tuning.

I had the APR tune for about a month before going the custom tuning route because the sport cats I have on my GTS (kept throwing a CEL, even with spacers). If my car was stock, I would go with APR. I have had 3 other vehicles with APR tunes and have nothing but great things to say about them. My only gripe was with an exhaust for my 718 that was just impossible to get their valve to work on - they did make it right though.

Talked to RUF N.A. today and apparently they also have a tune. Anyone on this thread have any experience with RUF tunes?

Shout out to FVD Brombacher. My T came with it. Can easily revert to stock at home. Pulls hard from down low.
