Default Rotor driving pins

Hi all. I'm getting ready to swap pads and rotors on my 2016 991.1 GTS with centerlocks (first time). A guy from FCP Euro mentioned these rotor driving pins:

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/porsche-disc-brake-rotor-set-screw-genuine-porsche-99134190100

I've searched around, and I don't seem to see these pins when people have changed the rotors on the 991.1 GTS with centerlocks out, or eventeven 997 S with 5 bolts. I have, however, seen them in the GT3.

Are these necessary to put in? I'm not even sure they go anywhere in my car.

Thanks in advance, rennlist pros!

Porsche suggests replacing the caliper bolts each time you remove them.
I have reused them more than once, but it is suggested to replace them often.

Not sure if the centerlock bolts also are one time use.

I actually got caliper studs put in. You're right though in that those look like the bolts, but I don't think those are the caliper bolts. The description says that one of these sets is for each rotor, and there are 5 bolts. The caliper just take 2 bolts per caliper, not the rotor. I don't know what those cylindrical things are either.

Let me actually attach a hyperlink.

Those of you with center lock wheels have five driving pins sticking out of the hub of the brake disc. Those five driving pins mate with the wheel and keep the wheel from spinning on the hub, in-spite of the huge torque to install your center lock wheel, they can spin if these driving pins are not installed. They have nothing to do with the brake calipers.

1 for where each lug would pass through rotor if you had regular 5 lug wheels.

Thanks Jim M and Jse targa. I think you guys are right. This video of a guy changing his GT3 shows the pins at 4:39.

Do you need to change these brake disc pins every time you change the rotors? Obviously the guys in this video didn't, but I'm not sure what Porsche says officially about these. I found that Porsche recommends using new caliper bolts everytime, which is why I got the studs. But I can't find that same recommendation for these rotor pins. Replace only if damaged?

If you got caliper studs, also get these. Only need them for front as you don’t need to remove clip in rear.

Thanks all.
JSETarga, it looks like you have centerlock and changed out your rotors. Have you ever had issues with those rotor pins yet?

When I look more closely at the brake kit they recommended, it also includes other items I don't think need to be replaced with each brake change such as the anti rattle brake clips (seen at back of calipers holding in the pads) and the rotor screws. Even though i don't see any recommendations to replace those rotor screws, they look kinda tenuous. They're cheap so I'll replace those.

Tgavem, I saw those studs too. I would like to get them, but my understanding is that they don't make them for the 991. Have you heard or seen differently?

I have not changed them and see no need to. I also have not swapped rattle clips either. Here is my setup.

Tarrett studs
AP Racing discs
Race RE-10 pads for track
Stock pads for street
Cut and spliced together sensor pad ends
High temp piston boots from racing brake
Steel brake lines in front that connect to caliper.

When I swap pads, I just remove 2 nuts from studs to pull caliper and swap

When I swap rotors I pull those 5 bolts referenced and swap.

Edit: SRF DOT4

Hey guys, I didn't realize we had to pull the pegs, thought we could just take out 2 screws like on the GT3. Does anyone know what the pegs are supposed to be torqued to?
