I did that with my 996, and many other mods. Keeping my 991 S 100% stock, other than a hole in the fuse panel cover for radar detector.

I got the markers as well, I did not notice it too much in person, but in pics the orange looked awful.

Of course, more mods immediately followed.....

And clear taillights are the next obvious choices. Car looks much cleaner as one color

especially the ''texture'' looks better, the orange ones look like bicycle reflectors...
