Yep...winter cold starts with Soul sport cats are pretty loud. This was my favorite mod to my 991.2.

Thank you for taking my call, I'm hoping to have the car back home early afternoon tomorrow. Shop called me and said install was done. They want to let the car sit overnight so the springs have sometime to settle before alignment is done

And I'll be looking out for pics of your car in the next few days

Pending how loud the cats get in the next few weeks, don't want it too loud as it's a Cab lol

What has me worried is the warranty, I've done lots of reading and have seen a few of the 2017 models having water pump issue. I'm not sure if the problem has been fix on the 2018 and up models.

Did you tune yours yet?

PS car is at shop getting Techart springs installed
My dealer installed the Sport Cats, it was in to swap out winter/summer tires. I received a phone call, guess what they found? Bad water pump, so they took care of that while it was in for the sport cats and tires.

Also looking forward to the headers, the tune, that slope is very slippery!

So are you saying the SOUL exhaust will be a little quiet at first but will get louder after?

I’m installing my SOUL with valve controller next week so it’s nice to know this so I don’t get too disappointed at first.

Correct, I doubt you will be disappointed. Give it a week or so, drive it as much as possible, it only gets better.

I'm curious - what's the science behind the "they get louder over time"?

Not doubting it, but what changes and how does it then stabilize at the final sound/decibel level?

I’m also curious to know. I always thought the carbon build-up will make it more quiet.

I really don't know but I'm picking car up today from the shop that's installing my Techart springs.

Shop is 1hr from my house I'll be sure to see if I hear a difference when I get home

It's so much better with the top down

The catalyst material gets heated and broken in which will typically increase the volume after a short period. Same as a muffler whereby the packing inside gets heated and the exhaust generally sounds a little louder and more mellow after some miles on it. The material inside reacts to heat and it will take several cycles before it breaks in.
