Manual Transmission will save your license

Long story short, I got pulled over today in CT right in front of new country porsche ironically. I wasn't really speeding, not that type of road, but accelerating pretty hard, enjoying my new soul cats and x pipes, when I see a cop in my rearview (right behind me) at a red light. As soon as it turns green, lights go on. I ask what he pulled me over for, litany of bs (no signal, license plate bracket, etc, etc.) typical powertrip ****. Well, his supervisor sees the stop, pulls over too. Comes over to the car, looks inside and says "most guys these days get the pdk, not a manual. Car sounds pretty sweet. Turns out he's a gear head, we shot the **** for 5 mins, talked about cars, even saw a lambo go by. Ultimately he said "remember drive it like you stole it, just not in front of us" And let me go. Pretty sure if my car was PDK, I'd have a ticket. hahahh

With Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, Bentley and the McLaren dealerships within site of where you were pulled over, they probably felt sorry for you. I hate to say it, but a 911 is all but invisible in Greenwich, only us gear heads know thier virtues. Drive the back country there sometime. Great sites to see.

It sounded like you were going to tell us that you received a Display Of Speed ticket. But didn't. Maybe that's where this was headed but the supervisor intervened.
There is a Rennlister in the 991 GT3 Forum that recently beat a DOS ticket. I'll find it later and link it here. It's a good lesson. Essentially, he beat the ticket, because a DOS ticket requires an "audience" and one LEO pulling over one car makes an audience not.

Got arrested last week for a hard acceleration that got the police attention. I didnt break the speed limit. I ended up getting a ticket because I changed the side markers to the Euro spec clear ones. The manual transmission in my 991.2 didnt help!
