Are there are any aftermarket solutions to suppress tire roar? My only irritation with my 991.2 4s. Highway driving is very noisy. Everything else is perfect. Dynamat or something else?
Any suggestions folks? Muchas gracias.

Good ones. Michelin pilot sport 4s. 6 mm front and 4 mm rear tread left. Marginally better wrt noise compared to the OEM P zeros N1.

There were a few photos of cars that had seats and side and door panels fully removed and covered in a dynamat type product. Anything can be done. You might trade road noise for rattles after reassembly.

Have you ever checked your alignment?
When you get new tires have them check to see if you are to spec.

Alignment is fine. Perfectly even tire wear with the Michelins now with 8k miles on them. Always noticed tire roar ever since the car was new in 2017. It came with Pirellis that were a bit noisier. My 19 inch winter Continentals are a bit quieter. I just switched to summers and noticed the increased noise as I do every season. I tried Dynamat in the trunk in my old Miata and that helped with tire noise. Wondering if anyone has tried lining the wheel wells with sound deadening? Should help I think.

Here's what I did. I neglected to take any before and after measurements, but subjectively the car seems quieter.

I don't notice any unreasonable tire noise for a powerful sports car. I wish I could pull some sound deadening out of the car, so we could actually hear the exhaust with the windows closed.

There’s been a lot of threads on this lately, I recently bit the bullet and added soundskin to my door cards, inner door skin, and the panel around the speakers. Much better at highway speeds. I don’t feel a need to add any more. Plus it was super easy to do the doors. Totally worth it!

Just found it...took about 30 seconds of searching this forum: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1190...nsulation.html
And there are many more. Maybe a Lexus would be a better choice.

Could it be a bad wheel bearing?
Hope you can find a few other 991.2's in the area you can ride/drive to compare.

It is just tire roar. I have driven other 911s and they are all noisy. Winter tires are marginally better in my car. Backroads is fine where I enjoy the noise of the flat six. Highway speeds is where I notice tire roar. Seems like a common complaint. Nothing that can’t be fixed with ear plugs as a cheap fix.
