Thanks David! And again thanks for all the assistance up front. I know your suggestions improved what things WOULD have been without your input. I'll definitely be shouting you out once the wheels come in!

GT3FZS, thanks for the welcome as well!

Gorgeous color and matches so well with those sport design wheels. If you are keeping the car for several years and are concerned with maintanence of the chalk, consider a full ppf wrap. Makes maintanence a breeze.

Simply love that color, especially with the matching interior. Hope to make it to SchnellFest also! Can't wait to see it with the HREs, it will be quite the looker.

Thanks Kage65! I've been entertaining that idea and likely will. I've XPEL'ed the full front, side mirrors, rockers, and the rear bumper behind the tires. But I'm definitely leaning towards full PPF; especially considering the way the hips are getting blasted. I had the factory film removed and replaced with custom-cut XPEL that covers a wider area. But, rocks are still hitting just above the top of the new film!

Just have larger pieces of PPF installed just before the rear wheels and have the whole car ceramic coated...no need to do the entire car IMO unless it is Matte paint.

Thanks for that tip, Bob Z. I'll need to just accept that that first attempt was a bust and get the larger pieces installed there.
As for the ceramic coating, I also need to stop with the half-measures. I had self-installed CQuartz Lite. Not bad, but I know it's not on the level of the professional-grade stuff.

Chalk is one of my favorite colors - it looks so different in different light. So classy. If I found a chalk S I would probably swap my car out...don't think my wife would notice

Congrats on a beautiful car.

LOL!! Thanks Wujohn! This was definitely a different step for me as all of my previous cars have been black. I'll appreciate this even more as the hot Austin summer arrives...

Default Welcome minddoc

I too absolutely like “chalk” . Had it been available on 991.1S models I would have searched til I found one. But alas, only on 991.2 models . So maybe next time. Welcome and enjoy your gorgeous 911!

Thanks, scr1244! Judging by the 992 presence, doesn't look like that option will be going anywhere for your next one
