Good afternoon team,

A couple people asked my about the wiring to install the center light bar for cars that did not come with it. On my car, I installed a 991.2 gts rear bumper with light bar onto my 991.2 carerra t. Here is how it came out

I purchased the connectors off of deytrade:
https://www.automotive-connectors.com/?___store=english

I purchased three connectors with pigtails to make a plug and play harness. Basically it installs in line with one of the license plate lamps. Here are the connectors I purchased

For the three prong connector, the two outer wires are 12v+ and the center wire is ground. On the license plate plug from the car, the brown wire is ground and the other wire is 12v+. Connect the 12v+ wires together (I used heat shrink connectors that have solder built in)
Same for the ground.

Harness made up. Ground is the top wire and 12v+ is the bottom wire.

Is the bumper available for us non-pse folks? Or would this be PSE only?

It’s the same bumper-just a different diffuser.

Thanks, it’s my pleasure, I have the modding bug like so many and am blessed with the ability to turn wrenches. My hope is I can show some others how simple and gratifying some of this stuff is when you can diy. @LargePuppy you are a great asset to the community as well-anxiously awaiting the results of your soul headers to see if I can join that camp when they are available.

Had I known this before comitting to my 4s, outcome might have been different. However everything happens for a reason. Well done!

I second that! And you too, LargePuppy. Your posts have opened many new doors to mods and diy maintenance.

It’s a zero sum gain as I’m spending the money on mods that I would normally be spending on professional labor costs...I’ll gladly take it!

thank you all!
