I purchased a 2014 991.1 with 14k miles about a year ago. I immediately purchased and installed the PSE, and loved it. I then immediately purchased a slightly used set of Soul catless headers from a forum member that were refurbished by Soul. The headers were immaculate. Had them installed, then had the car dyno tuned via Cobb stage 2. The sound is unbelieveable when the valves are open, and nice and quiet when closed. I think I remember posting some results here last year after the tune. I think I made something like 373HP on the dyno here in Denver.
The car can be loud when you want, and quiet when you want...all with zero...and I mean zero drone. I previously came from a CTSV that was heavily modded pushing around 750 HP, which also had a full exhaust (headers and back), and I was adamant about not having drone, which the borla "no drone" mufflers provided.
Anyway, the PSE with the stock functiionality via the buttons coupled with the Soul catless is one of the best sounding exhausts IMO. When open at idle, almost sounds V8'ish (I think I wrote that too last year).
Good luck with your searches and let us know what your final decision ends up being.

As many people mentioned it's all subjective. Cost vs Price vs Worth vs Value, all their definitions interchangeable and have many meanings in economics, products, business, and philosophy. With over 25 years of exotic car experience, we're uniquely positioned to satiate that hunger for power, sound, and performance.
Many companies like Akrapovic, Soul, Corsa, Tubi, and Fabspeed offer layers of premium materials. With Fabspeed T304 stainless steel, HJS catalysts, Helical valves (OEM supplier for brands like Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, and Lamborgini), and the Lifetime Warranty/Sound Guarantee that supports them we give you value-added to make sure you're not only happy with the sound and exhaust note but added value. Back that with skilled employees, in Philadelphia, almost all of whom have their own personal builds, and track car projects. This is not a job for companies like the mentioned - it's a lifestyle.
Having satisfied customers is the end-all win - it's only in their eyes that we can call ourselves successful. Go with whatever options you feel completely comfortable with - just gotta find out exactly what you want. We are fortunate to have some of the most loyal, passionate customers in the world, and they see considerable value in our quality, precision, fitment, and customer support.
