Thanks for your responses. The other interesting aspect of buying a preowned vehicle during COVID is relying on pictures and documents instead of viewing the car in person. In my case, I'm in St. Louis and I'm looking at vehicles both in California and New York. Would you feel comfortable purchasing a vehicle "sight unseen" if all you had was pictures and CPO paperwork?

But I have bought guitars on eBay sight unseen!

Even the best pictures do not reveal scratches, scuffs and dings. Plus you will never get any idea how the car smells from a picture. Various noises and vibrations don't show up on pictures either. Make sure you see, smell and drive it before buying,. Always.

I think mid to high 70’s on a CPO base Carrera is crazy. That’s what I paid for my 24k mile car 2+ years ago. And I had a $110k msrp. Doing that now, would be insane in my opinion. Low ball, but be polite.

Obviously dealer pricing is not universal but I have found for the most part they adhere to the Kelley Blue Book values mid $70s. Also, the vast majority of cars seem take around 90 days to sell so I would imagine the dealers won't discount beyond perceived value until that point. I've been looking to trade up from my 2017 C2 to a newer 911 but waiting to time the market to my advantage.
What's been interesting to me is that CPO cars don't trade in any higher, as apparently the warranty doesn't transfer to the dealer it can only go person to person. Right now with 37,000 miles Kelley Blue book prices my car at $70k Private Sale (Range $67k - 72k). A trade in to a dealer is coming in mid to low $60s. Here's the build sheet: https://vinanalytics.com/car/WP0AA2A94HS107269/
Hope that helps.

I'm looking to buy a CPO 2017 991.2 C4S 7MT Cab with sport Chrono, sport package, Bose stereo and LED lights. I'm looking at one that's offered at $96k and another at $101k both with 30k miles. Any best guesses what I could get them for? KBB suggests $96k is average and can range between $90k and $102k. I was planning to offer $88. Does anyone have info what $ or % they got off the sticker price for their 991.2 CPO?
