DIY Carrera T turbo R&R
A little history first. I have a 2019 Carrera T and last summer did a Cobb Access-port and a Pro Tune to Stage 2 with SharkWorks Exhaust; Soul 200 cats; AMS intercoolers. Now I'm installing the GTS turbos and a set of Vektor headers. Right off the bat I find that the water coolant lines are solid SS tubing and really have no flexing to be able to pull away from the turbos so I can remove them. The oil return has a short section of rubber hose so it came off easy. The oil pressure line is solid SS and positioned right under the 2 coolant lines on the turbo which are the hole problem.
It seems the 2 coolant lines go from the turbos up to a manifold on top of the engine, near the flywheel. No way to reach in there and see if I can undo a line or two.
This last photo shows the oil pressure line (center of photo) on top and under the coolant lines. No way to get the T-30 socket in there with the coolant lines in the way.
Will I have to drop the engine/trans for this coolant line problem?

Ready to install the new GTS turbos. Must have tools, Trox male & female E-8 and E-10 with 1/4 inch drive. Besides the normal exhaust gaskets you will need all the O-rings for the coolant and oil lines that connect to the turbos. A total of 5 lines to each turbo. 8 to 10 different sized O-rings depending on which turbo, left or right. Drained about a gallon of coolant from the lines. Hope that wouldn't be a problem later when all is done. Air in the coolant system?
Few photos of the GTS turbos.
Installation on this 4-5-6 side was not to bad. Most connections were fairly straight forward. Vektor headers installed first then turbo.
Will start on the 1-2-3 side this weekend.

I got a very very good price on the GTS turbos so I went with that. I did look into a few company's that were producing larger turbos but the one's I have should work well along with all the other upgrades I have done.

With your parts combo and GTS turbos, you're looking at 600hp+ and 130mph trap speeds. It's a proven recipe. It should hold you over for a while at least Though going bigger turbo will of course introduce a bit more lag.

I should clarify, 600+ crank. 4point0, flickroll, fsmich are all basically running the same parts combo as you and trapping 130mph in their GTSs.
