Default Spoiler Deployment

I know that the spoiler deploys at speed - (I've seen 75 or 85mph mentioned) - but I parked my car this morning shortly after taking a cloverleaf off-ramp and hitting .9 G's lateral accel (according to the car) and when I got out, the spoiler was up.

It made me wonder if a certain amount of lateral acceleration might cause it to deploy for added downforce?

Don't think I was at a high enough speed on the highway to trigger.

.1 or .2?

On a .2 it will stay up for additional cooling.

.2 - But it's 42F this morning here, and other than taking corner hot, nothing I did this morning in the car would build up much engine heat.

I have never had my spoiler stay up after stopping on my .2, and that is in FL during the summer.

The alternative answer is that somewhere along the way I hit the spoiler button on my console - which seems unlikely.. but who knows. For at least half a day, I'm 'that guy' parked with his spoiler up.

Interesting timing on this thread, I drove my 991.2 yesterday and noticed my spoiler in its upright position while driving at highway speeds, I was curious if whether or not I could lower it by pushing the button. When I didn't notice any change, I thought nothing of it until I parked and saw that it was still raised when I exited my car. I went back and pushed the button to lower it. I never new that you would prevent it from lowering should one decide to push the spoiler button while at speeds where the spoiler would raise on its own.
