Attachment 1335528

Porsche 991.2 Carrera 4 GTS BBi Autosport 450 WHP PROTUNE w/Cobb Tuning Accessport
+15% HP / +20% FT LB TQ & +60 HP / +77 FT LB TQ Peak Gains / ECU Removal No Longer Required

We recently flashed this White Porsche 991.2 Carrera 4 GTS with Cobb's Off The Shelf (OTS) and it came back for us to make more power with our BBi Autosport Custom Tune on the dyno.

Using the COBB Tuning Accessport, Jared Deputy our engine builder and tuner increased +15% HP / +20% FT LB TQ & +60 HP / +77 FT LB TQ MAX Gains over stock to make 450 hp / 452 ft/lbs to the wheels on an otherwise bone stock power train. The power curve of our tune diverges from the factory at around 3000 rpm and delivers impressive max gains in the mid-range around 4000 rpm for excellent drivability and response. These impressive gains are immediately noticeable as the the power curve of our tune diverges from the factory at around 2600 rpm and for excellent drivability and response.

Recently, Cobb added the ability to install the Cobb Accessport on newer Porsche 991.2 generation 911 or 718 models without having to remove a vehicle’s ECU and ship it to Cobb HQ in Texas in order to be physically unlocked. This advancement means that customers will no longer have to be without their Porsche for 2-3 days. IN STOCK for same day installation or shipping, please email sales@bbiautosport.com or click here to purchase ➡️ https://www.bbiautosport.com/9912carrera

How is this a custom "pro-tune"?

Your demonstrating a 13.33% maximum gain. COBB advertises 20% on the GTS on their main website product page and 14% on their map notes for the GTS.

390 baseline / 450 "pro-tune" = 13.33% gain

I would interpret the gain as 60 hp over 390 hp = 16% gain from original (the 390 baseline).

16% is neither 20% or 14%.

What I would like to know is how it drives compared to stock.
Would be nice to see the OTS tune versus the pro-tune, which would have been quite easy to do (just upload the OTS stage 1 and do a run).

I am waiting to see what the APR tune does for a 991.2 GTS.

Hi,

We are currently running a special on E-Tunes. Normally they are $700 but currently we are offering them for $500 if you already have the COBB AP.
Email us at sales@bbiautosport.com and we'll take care of you!

If you need to purchase an AP from us, we can knock another $100 off the E-Tune even further!

I assume that what we would get is a separate/new tune and not a replacement for the Stage 1 and 2 tunes already on the Cobb? Any rough idea of how the power/torque compares? I know there is more to a tune than numbers but having a general idea would help, specifically for a 991.2 GTS, and maybe the others for those with those cars.

Hi,

The ProTune is a new and separate tune on the COBB device specifically for your car. You send us your original map and datalogs, and we make revisions, and we make as many until you are satisfied.
The power/tq numbers vary drastically depending on mods, octane, elevation, etc. so it's hard to say for sure. Generally, we can add in sometimes even as much power as the OTS added to stock, it's a big difference. But it does depend on many factors

Shoot us an email and we can gladly chat further! sales@bbiautosport.com

Ha! I was out Sat. and on the way home I was playing with 4 crotch rockets on A1A along the beach (2 lane) and when I passed someone they had to wait for an oncoming car and I was watching them in my mirror - they were not gaining on me, or very little, before we had to slow for more traffic. After they passed me a few minutes later (I let them) I got a thumbs up from all of them - I never felt I needed more. I still think about trying Stage 2 (and a Pro Tune) but I really am pleased with Stage 1 for the way I use the car.
