Default Touch screen failure

Yesterday, on a sunny day drive, i tried to change the radio station on the touch screen. Tapping with my finger didn't work, had to change stations the old fashion way with the ****! Any ideas about whats wrong?? We're talking about a 2012.5 CS. Thanks.

Interesting. Have driven the car a few times since this happened and it is still occurring?

Try rebooting the PCM: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1175...e-booting.html

There are other threads as well - search can be your friend.

Tried again today after a 3 day lock down. Still no touch screen? I'll see if the stealer ship has any ideas.

Bob Z, you were right! Simple PCM re-boot!! Sorta weird that the "touch screen" feature alone just went away and nothing else.

I read the post that Bob linked to. Did not see the sequence for pcm reboot.

What exactly did you do to reboot the PCM?

Try turning on the ignition. Then push the Info and Sound buttons together for 15 seconds.

There are numerous ways to reset the PCM and if you Google " reset porsche PCM" so you can decide which one to try, and your owner's manual should also have something: http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/...sonal-settings
