Default Winter tyres experience

Hello everyone
I drive a 991.1 with 20" rims. I'm about to replace my winter tyres and was wondering what the experience is of other 991 owners with tyres other than the Pirelli Sottozero. I've personally been using them for quite a while and have no significant complaints but I'd be curious to know whether you would recommend other brands and why.

Thanks in advance to those who will take the time to provide any feedback.

I daily drive mine year around and I’ve been running the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 tires in the winter and love them.

Thanks. Have you had the chance to drive on Pirelli Sottozero too by any chance? If so, which of the two would you recommend, between the Sottozero and the Alpin?

I have Sottozero’s on 20” rims for my winter set in Seattle. I like them but can’t compare to other winter tires.

I pushed my 20" Pirellis hard in the Black Forest in the snow and ice for the 3 years we lived there. 991.1. I thought the Sottos were great. never drove the Michelins.

I run MS Aplin. Only winter tires I’ve run. They really stick to the road. They make less noise then my summer tires.

Fairly happy with Conti Winter Contacts in slush and icy snow.

I'm happy with the Conti Winter Contacts.

I've only driven in cold temperatures with the occasional flurry.
