FCP Euro does not sell the Front Hood Supports for the 991/981 models. Probably too many failures with these struts that would need free replacements!

I looked all over for a new set of OEM struts, yet in the end replaced mine with an aftermarket set purchased from . $18 per pair. They fit fine and work great, yet I will see how long they last.



For the cost of $9 each, if they last more than a year, I will be ahead of the game......

I've ordered 3 different ones from Amazon with no luck. Any link or info regarding this strut?

 

I tried to go the aftermarket route with these last month with no real success. Purchased the Stabilus struts from Pelican for about $68/pair. They are identical in every way except for the "BECKER' letters printed on it. FWIW...

I just replaced mine in 5 minutes. I bought OEM from Pelican parts, more expensive but I just felt they would last longer . A very noticeable difference, mine had become kind of lazy.

 

Replaced mine in no time with the cheap ones from RockAuto. Perfect fit, pretty much exactly the same as OEM,and $8/ea. They do a great job lifting the hood.
