I haven't run a front plate on my Porsches in eleven years in Northern Virginia. I have been stopped once in 2010 and given a $ 70 ticket. Big deal, write the check and keep driving. That's less than $ 7 a year to not have a wart on the front of the car.

Yes, I’ve got a clear polycarbonate cover over the plate it also covers the slightly sharp outer edges of the plate.
