I see you're from my hood! Most of the past summer I've been going without a front plate but there is always a risk. I'm hoping that our Ontario Premiere will get rid of the front plate requirement, only three provinces in Canada that still require one.

I use this on my Macan and my old 718. I just installed this on my 991.2 last week and it worked great. It is inexpensive, no holes to drill, and its easy to take on an off. It's also center to the car, which I prefer to the offset location using the tow hook.

Yeah, I'm mostly dt. I've come across alot of TPS and they never bother me (much better than York region!). FYI - recently dealers association tried to get rid of front plate requirement but Queens Park and popo's said NOPE. Sucks.

That looks good. If I didn't have the ACC, I think I wouldn't mind going with this.

The best solution. Can put plate anywhere you want, at whatever angle or setting. Can curve the plate to your bumper. Lasts forever (been on the Cayenne 6 and a half years) and comes off like any trim does: a little heat and some fishing line and boom, pops off without any fuss.

This is how your temporary plate gets attached when you do Euro Delivery.

This was a quick temporary install but gives you an idea of the possibilities:

It is really not that bad at all - you can have the bumper off in 25 minutes - give yourself 50 for the first go around. Another 45 minutes fiddling with the gluing and back on it goes. I would recommend you use screw and nut for fastening the magnet to the license plate holder. Grab a beer and get to know the car a bit. With the bumper off, you can install screens too!

Looks like you have the ACC too ... any interference with it given the plate in front of it?

The screen upgrade would def make sense going in at the same time. I may bring it to a shop to get it done. When I was a kid, I had a tendency to take every non living thing apart but never seem to put it back together - hence trails of screws and nuts all over the floor. BUT I do agree with the bumper off, I would be intrigued with all the finer details of this fine german engineering - kinda like looking at the back of a watch and seeing all the intricate pieces ticking away.

I got the one with the extender so it drops the plate another inch or 2 so it doesn't block the front sensors. It's doesn't look bad. I don't have to drill nor do I have to glue things or magnets what so ever. Don't even have to take off the bumper which was a plus for me, uses OEM tow hook hole. Being in California, especially bay area where cops or CHP is notorious for tagging you for Front License plate missing.

I've just placed the order on that rho-plate and expecting to arrive in a few days. I've always wonder why Cali is so tight on a legal and policy perspective. Meanwhile, I've never tripped over so many homeless (in SF) while walking on the sidewalks than in any other North American cities. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to this order. & btw, do you have a cover on the plate?

Try industrial strength velcro tape, one side on the bumper, one side on the back of the plate. Place a strip of PPF on the bumper in case you ever need to remove the plate. You can bend the plate to sit flush with the bumper if you want. Totally weatherproof and durable. 2 minutes.

I’ve had the Rho with extension for over 3 years on my 991.1 with front parking sensors. Great product but definitely keep a screwdriver handy to take the plate off of the bracket and an Allen wrench to tighten the mount. My biggest issue has been when my detailer removes it and isn’t careful about how it goes back on (I guess I’m a bit particular about the tilt and angle).

I drove around NJ for four years with the front plate in the trunk of my Audi RS5. No tickets, not even a warning.

I was considering this license bracket. Do you have pictures of it installed on your 991.2? Thanks!
