Not surprising. It's usually a work-around for either the dealership or a VIP, to flip the car for a massive profit. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Well, not me, but we've seen this on RL for years.

About 40% on the flip. Nice money if you can get it.

I don’t see that working this time around. Speedsters just aren’t all that and they are gathering dust all over the country. VIPs are all getting calls on available cars. “Just for you!” Sure. Just for me. Another money grab, just for me. Hard pass.

When I was somewhat serious about getting one I talked to many dealers and most were $40k-50k over sticker, with a couple $100k over! Since then I have seen several listed at MSRP and Jacksonville Porsche has a Red one on the floor for sticker right now, which I saw when I had my car up there a couple weeks ago. I just like my car too much to get out of it now; however, in a couple years...

Zero mark up on Speedster. Cool car but the flipping game is over. 2RS now 35-40k under with very low miles or delivery miles.

There has never been a 911 made that was worth $384,030 new, off the lot at a dealer. Things have gotten ridiculous. I'm sick of the whole VIP program concept. It only makes the fattest cats fatter, and keeps Porsches from being driven and enjoyed by those who appreciate them for what they are.

Rant over. You will now be returned to your regularly scheduled programing.

Sticker for the basic one is about $275k, which is still a lot for what it is but it is SOOOOOO nice!

Out of my league but won't lose any sleep over it. Not the car I would spend $400K on, even if I had that much to spend on one car.

718 Spyder looks much better IMHO. A fraction of the cost and you can actually drive it without having ulcers about brake dust build up or a rock chip.
