That has bugged me ever since I first saw it. It seems like a step backwards in styling.

My wife and I went to order a 992 a few weeks ago and purchased a left-over new 2019 instead. It was not difference in prices, but the difference in the cars, particularly the interiors and user interfaces, that was responsible.

911s are like iPhones.

You have to upgrade every two generations in order to see a real difference.

I can totally understand this.

I was at my local dealer today, and even the 2013 I was looking at looked better to me inside and out than the 992 next to it!

Given my open disdain for turbo motors (to those who own them, it's not you it's your car and yes they are faster..blah blah blah), I'm either looking at keeping my slow as hell 991.1GTS or stepping up to a GT car (assuming those stay NA).

I'm staying here also (991.1 C4S). I haven't felt this way since the 996 (996 was unattractive inside and out). I'm not intrigued by the 992 in the least...

2013 manual C2S. Plan is to hit the 200,000 mile mark then pay to restore. The 3.8 is quite sufficient and new driver aids aren’t appealing. I’m driving the car I want to drive and that’s a nice place to be.

You'll get that letters on a regular basis unless you respond that you aren't interested. I kept receiving the "great news" letters until I told the Sales Manager that I wasn't interested. My great offer was list price on the new car, and a ridiculously low offer on my car - below KBB poor condition. Since so many Porsche dealers make these offers, I assume that there must be some who accept the great deal.

Boy do I miss my Turbo S. However, I am absolutely loving my MT 991.1 4GTS, and don't plan to give it up any time soon, certainly not for the exorbitant price to "upgrade" to new. Maybe a 992 GT3 touring.

I'm guilty, I get bored of cars fairly quickly but not with this one; it's a keeper for sure. I just celebrated my one year anniversary of my beloved 991.2 GTS and it still feels like the first time each time. I haven't warmed up to the 992 yet but over time, I'm sure I'll learn to appreciate it more. I like the clean look of the interior and for better or worse, Porsche is streamlining the the dash (Panamera, Cayenne, and now the 992). Like many, I'm going to enjoy the analog-old school gauges and other dinosaur features of the 991; I especially love my racing yellow gauges and a gear lever that I can hold onto. Long live the 991!

Great. As for me, I do miss my 991.1 GTS, however I am absolutely loving my 991.1 TTS. No interest in 992 till a turbo. I hope they will not screw up with fake exhaust tips and such.

Agreed, can’t believe the 911 has gone so far to join the trend of fake exhaust tips. That’s a non-starter right there. I believe I heard or read somewhere their claim was they did this to reduce the cost for repair in a rear end accident. I’m sure insurance companies will be reducing premiums on brand new 911s due to that “feature”.

To put it bluntly. I’d rather have my pdk fail when my warranty runs up on my 991 and fork over $20k cash, than pay the $20/25k more for a comparable new C2S. This also assumes a dealer will pay me MSRP for my trade with a broken pdk.

Quick Reply: I'll be keeping my 991 for a while...
