Default Adding oil?

My 2013 cab S . How much oil should be added if it is down one mark? I read some where how many cc’s each mark represents,but can’t find it

I believe I read once that each bar is 400ml = 400cc. That's also approximately 13oz.

Add 200mls at a time between drive cycles till you nail the level you desire.

Would you even bother to add oil if it is only one mark below max ? Wait until it is lower?

I called my local service guy nd asked what would they used at last oil change and he said 0-40 Mobil one . He it is hard to find . I just happen to have a few quarts left over from my 993 10 years ago is there any issue using oil that old that has been sealed in the bottle?

The oil should be ok. However, I would give the bottle a good shake to mix the settlement before pouring into the engine.

Anywhere in the green is okay.
I know most people ( myself included) like to keep it near the top.
It is a pain if you overfill it, so either wait till it drops another bar or add small amounts and wait a day.....

Don't use 10 year old oil.

And you should never have been using Mobil 0W40 in an aircooled 911 (993).

Don't add any if you are only down 1 mark from the top. That is a perfect dot to be at. If you drop to 2 marks below then add very little till it shows back to 1 mark below.
