Anyone on all season tires?
I live in Virginia, so the winters are a bit all over the place with temperatures, etc. Would not drive in snow. I am looking for a good winter set up - anyone has experience with all season tires for wide body 991.2 (4S)? Any other suggestions for a good winter set up (wheels and tires - offsets seem to be a challenge to get right with aftermarket wheels a 49 front and 56 rear)? Thanks!

Do a do a search on the tires in the Title.
You’ll find these tires are awesome, but honestly if you’re going to have wheels made, I’d stick with 11” wide in back. These 305’s look better on a 11” imo.

Better to search on "winter tires" and this was being discussed the other day so you will find what you need, but many do.

The Michelin Latitude Alpin is a proper winter tire, but it definitely has a sport oriented design that works very well on a Porsche on a cold, dry day. That’s my choice.

I also have been giving all-seasons some thought instead of snows for my daily driver 4S in Ohio. It would never see any serious snow (I have a Cayenne for those days), just maybe the surprise inch or so that falls unexpectedly while I’m already at work. What I’m really curious about is the summer performance of the tires. Clearly not thinking track or anything aggressive, but would the occasional dip into low triple digit speeds be a disaster ?

Here is the link on the Potenza 980's.
I love them for daily driving and have about 7K miles on them now.

Check the speed rating code on the tires you have in mind - the winter tires I'm running (Michelin PA4) are 91V and I believe the V rating is up to 149MPH - I'd wouldn't even dream of running them that fast - but if I wound up being chased by a horde of zombies in hot rods it's good to know that I could.

Sure - here you go. They work well for me because:
- I don't like the hassle of having to swap out wheels twice a year,
- I have a lot of rainy days where it's in the 30's in the morning and in upper 40's or low 50's in the evening. I think all seasons are great for that kind of weather.
- I don't plan to go to the track, and even though i consider myself a reasonably sporty driver (and motorcyclist), I don't think I have even gotten close to reaching the limits of these tires on public roads.
BTW - the car is a 2019 C2 (narrow body) - not sure if that matters.

How's the ride quality and road noise compared to the OEM Pirellis? I'm also in Seattle and have centerlock GTS wheels, and am not sure I want to spend money on a dedicated set of snows. The only other option is to see if Michelin comes out w/ their new Pilot Sport 4 All Seasons that are on the C8.

Has anyone running all-seasons in winter experiences snow with them yet ? Typical (nonP cara) run all seasons through the winter with no problem. I’m wondering what that would be like on 4S with small amount of snow.

Thank you to all for very helpful information. I think that the all season set up for colder months will work well for me, just need to find the right wheels to put them on.
