Default Advice on purchase of a 2013 C2S

I'm considering the purchase of a 2013 C2S w/PDK with a little less than 16K miles. I brought it in for a PPI and everything checked out fine except the following:

1) The battery was weak - dealer agreed to replace it.
2) Mechanic found dead mice and a nest in the battery compartment

Other than that, the car is really clean and looks almost new. The carfax lists it as a single owner, and it appears to have been serviced regularly.

The dead mice has me worried about potential "hidden" issues, but the mechanic said it's a common thing and found no other damage.

It does have a lot of options and VIN Analytics shows the original price at $128,145.00, and they are offering it at 76,500. Non Porsche dealership so no CPO.

Would you guys go for it or pass on it

Is this from a Porsche dealer? Personally I'd either want a CPO or buy a Fidelity Platinum warranty, but many will say to just self insure. It's amazing how the prices have held up, I paid about that for mine 3 years ago CPO when it had 25k on it, similar MSRP.

We need to know specs, color, accessories, etc... before providing opinion.

FYI, I paid $71K for a CPO 2013 C2S, 21K mileage, from a Porsche dealer several months ago so it seems a little high to me. Mine had a list of $118K for reference.

That is indeed loaded! Are the mice included? I have a 13 991 and they were not an option at the time.

Just kidding. They must have been some very enterprising mice to get into the trunk and under the rubber cover over the batter compartment. That or someone used a battery tender with the trunk cover popped. If and wires were chewed the results would be very obvious. IF everything else checked out and you like it that sounds like a reasonable deal. Based on my experience they are great cars.

I would get something in writing that states that if any faults are found in the next 90 days that are related to rodent damage they will cover it. As an FYI I believe most comprehensive insurance covers that stuff as well, you may want to check.

for reference I paid 86K for a 20k mile C2S 2013, with and MSRP of 123k. This was 4.5 years ago.

How is that high? It has 5k less miles and $10k more in options for just about $5k more. Based on your example I think the OP's car is good deal.

"How is that high?"

Well, it does not appear to be CPO so no warranty apparently. Still seems a little high.

Get CPO or Fidelity Platinum as others have said, but I would have the dealer indemnify you against any pre-existing condition relative to the battery box, wiring harness related to the mice.

Otherwise, nice build / car.

FYI - damage caused by vermin is a common exclusion on insurance policies - just ask my customer who had a mouse chew through his wiring harness on his 2013 911 C4S

How are people saying it's a nice build without seeing what's in it? For all we know it has $20k of useless cosmetic options.

Maybe I just got lucky or something. I bought a decked out 13 C2S CAB, PDK with a $138,400 sticker with full CPO six months ago for 54,000. It has 64k miles, but who cares, it's a CPO. The car is stunning. My favorite yet.
For that kind of money, I would want a Porsche CPO, no doubt
