I had a brain freeze and forgot to put hand brake on while parked in my garage and my wife opened the garage door without realizing and now it’s a ugly damage.
Any idea how bad it will be for bumper cover replacement, paint or would appreciate any good bumper repair can fix it in nyc/nj area?

Thanks,
Keep the photos for your records as you will surely get dinged on resale via CarFax. Or perhaps pull the bumper yourself and bring into a body shop sans the car...
Yeah, take it a Porsche approved repair shop and have them fix it. I don't understand how it happened though - what does the emergency brake have to do with it? Did your wife hit your car and it rolled?

My assumption is that the car is manual, forgot to put it in gear and to apply the hand brake. Garage floors are usually slope outward to drain, the car rolled against the garage door. Wife hit the button from the wall switch thus creating that carnage.
Just get it repainted out of pocket and call it a day. Use a certified porsche shop and no need to bring it up to anyone.
- Can't paint gauge a bumper FYI
But the color will not be the same.... If the owner or dealer asks "Did the bumper get resprayed?" He can simply say "Yes, it was resprayed at _____. Give them a call". When I bought my 997 I noticed one fender was resprayed, it didn't show anywhere except by looking at the car... Called the dealer, they confirmed someone dropped something and dented it.
Gauged bumpers can be repaired and resprayed. Ask my wife...
From recent experience on another car (though I did not hit my garage, someone bumped me lightly!) - $300 in Tampa at a friendly shop, $895 in San francisco as an insurance job (his insurance)...
Depending on deductible/insurance situation, I would go out of pocket and take the bumper off myself in 15 minutes and carry it to a shop and save on disassembly/reassembly. Also, no carfax or claim or whatever... I wanna say theu add some flex agent for plastic parts like bumpers too, but I'm no painter... In fact my bumper's been used as a parking aid prior to my ownership, and I plan on doing that out of pocket next time anyone dings any part of my car (once the shop mixes the paint for an insurance job, they are very open to extra jobs on the side and I could also use a front bumper respray for chips)
