Default 991.2 S/GTS Pads, Rotors the same as the 991.1's ?

I have been all over the interwebs looking for some brake parts for my 2019 GTS.

Suncoast seems to be the only vendor that has standard rotors for the car and they are double the cost of the 991.1's but appear to be the same. Which leads me to question the pads, lines, studs.... based on what I know the 991.1 & 991.2 brakes are the same.

The next question is if there is any difference in the rotors for the CL cars as much of the reference I can find shows they are the same.

991.2 S/GTS front rotors are 350 mm which are bigger than the 991.1 S/GTS front rotors. pads would be different also.

Crap, that is what I was afraid of.

Do you have any leads on blank or slotted rotors and pad numbers? I am showing Pagid 4909 & 4908's for the pads but have no clue where to start on the rotors.

A quick search shows the 997's Turbo's used 350mm rotors, wonder if they would work?

Okay I found this in another tread

Corrected 991.2 S info

991.2 (991.1 in parentheses)
Carrera F: Ø 330 x 34 mm (Ø 330 x 28 mm)
Carrera R: Ø 330 x 34 mm (Ø 330 x 28 mm)

Carrera S F: Ø 350 x 34 mm (Ø 330 x 34 mm)
Carrera S R: Ø 330 x 28 mm (Ø 330 x 28 mm)

997 Turbo F: Ø 350 x 34 mm
997 Turbo F: Ø 350 x 28 mm

PCCBs are bigger too on the 991.2: 410mm/390mm versus 350mm/350mm on the 991.1.

Highly recommend you call Essex and do a rotor upgrade.

Yes those guys are amazing, I have used them for my racecars an have been very impressed.

Unfortunately a (2) piece rotor is overkill, I need to do some testing & tuning before a big Time Trial event so maybe 5-7 track days total then back to street duty. I was hoping to buy a set of brakes to swap while the car is new so I can put them back on when I put it back on the street.

You could also do a gyrodisc slotted rotor.
It is a 350 mm diameter so conversion would not need standoffs. Replacement rotors are cheaper than the OEM ( if you replace just the ring).

After seeing this thread looked & was surprised to see the OEMs were not offered on Pelican Parts yet - yikes!

They have 1.000 miles as i have upgraded to PCCBs.

Price is Half of original price and everything is Porsche OEM.

Check out BobZ's posts. I believe he was recommending some type of semi-ceramic brakes that sounded a lot less expensive.

I have been searching but never did find that but am interested.

In hopes that I might get lucky I did order a set of 997.2 Turbo Rotors and will test fit these when I get some free time.

Okay I have some great news, the 997.2 Turbo Front rotors is a direct match to the 991.2!

Unfortunately the rears are smaller but they are a match to the 991.1’s. Now to either put in spacers or order 330mm rotors.

Updated Measurements

Carrera S F: Ø 350 x 34 mm
Carrera S R: Ø 330 x 28 mm

997.2 Turbo F: Ø 350 x 34 mm

997.2 Turbo R: Ø 350 x 28 mm

Front 997.2 Turbo rotors vs 991.2 S rotors

Rear 997.2 Turbo 350mm vs 330mm 991.2 Rotors

Rear 997.2 Turbo 350mm vs 330mm 991.2 Rotors

Yes 1:1 replacements. Note that the OEM 991.2 are higher quality than the older rotors as they are a (2) piece cast design but they ruined them by cross drilling. With a good driver I would only expect to get a few weekends before cracking.
