So, installed JB4 on my 991.2 C2S with BMC and soul sport CATS.
I had to remove rear wing.
To access the intake manifold connection it’s a
challenge to say the least. I moved the thick set of cables from below the ECU to the side and was able to make the connection.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Holy crap... in MAP3.. butt DYNO is very satisfied and the car pulled like never before and that’s after only one run. I did feel like there was some hesitation between 5-5000k RPM then it went CRAZY pulling.
Im going to Roebling this weekend to we will see how it behaves.
Very happy so far with my purchase and like the fact that I’m not touching the ECU since I have CPO.

Bare with me as it's not easy getting to the AWD dynojet, it's 90 miles away from us

Anything happens to your motor, you know any tech worth his salt can see the ECU has been tampered, right? And taking it to the track to beat it up in the Georgia summer? You've got cajones my friend.

Do you not think that if a claim is on the line that a regional tech cannot build the case that a JB4 was installed? First, they can read the DME. Secondly, they can clearly see the (repeated) install/removal of the parts needed to install the device.
If they want to deny the claim they can. The power is in their hands. As someone who has modified cars since the early 2000s I can assure you that when there is a will, there is a way when it comes to denied claims.
Burger makes excellent products, Terry runs a reputable shop. I'm just trying to make sure everyone is aware that removing the JB4 is not a 100% fool-proof method of keeping your powertrain warranty intact. If it were, BT would offer a warranty. They do not. Caveat emptor.

It's going to be hard to prove something like that because it's the same steps to do an air filter or oil change.
You only plug into 2 sensors, super simple!
Thanks for the kind words. Terry is a great mentor and I have learned lots from him in the years of being here.

Couple thoughts here as I had JB4 on M3, X5M, and other M cars. Terry is legit and is very helpful when you need anything. Their tunes make real power and are relatively undetectable. I took my all my M cars in for warranty work such as blow off valves that blew and other stuff and they were never as issue. ON THE OTHER hand, I do know of an M3 owner that blew his motor, removed the JB4, and BMW Germany did have logs showing what they claimed showed the car was tuned. Modern ECU's are very very good at recording data! I have heard also Audi and BMW have a tool that can even record piggybacks also. So while the car won't record higher than normal boost if the mothership wants to dig they can find logs that are highly indicative of a tune. Now onto the tunes. IF you don't want to crack the ECU this i a great option. But, compared to a real ECU tune they aren't comparable. I never wanted to tune my M3 but my buddies that did with BM3 and other ECU tunes had much better drivability and smoothness. The TQ curve on the M3 was ridiculous. Never any reliability issues, it was just an on/off experience. I'd be super curious to compare my Hydra pro tune to a JB4.
