I remember my uncle correcting me when I got into his Porsche for the first time back in the mid 80’s. As a teenager I thought he was weird and **** but of course now it makes perfect sense. I would just politely ask them to use the door handle.

Random aside, we don’t wear shoes in our home and it gets awkward when we have a number of people over and have to ask them to take their shoes off. Hopefully they all wear their good socks...

I found the human touch sensory is just too advanced in its evolution development. For some reasons, visual eyeballing is just not enough, they have to touch it to get a feel of .....I don't know what purpose it serves. Maybe its god's way of teaching them a lesson when their fingers get numb due to carpal tunnel syndrome.

I don't know either but it's the main reason the black coupe I had last only lasted a year. I just couldn't take the dust (and handprints). My Guards Red cab is SO much more forgiving. Plus, red.

I'll never buy another black car again.

BTW- your Targa is AMAZING and very special. More photos of that interior!

Thats nothing. A friend put prints on my car, saw them, and then tried to buff them out... with her sweater. Luckily had ppf on the car.

Having a black car means you have to decide whether you want to use it or just look at it. We’ve had a maroon 77’ 924 (175K), a black 83’ Trans Am (315K),a White 90’ C4 (85K) and now a black 12’ Cayman (12K). We do spend more time keeping the black cars looking good, but we also use them as intended. It never made sense to save them for the next guy. So we just see if blasting through the twisties maybe blows the fingerprints off, with a grin on our faces.

I have Dark Blue Metallic, which is nearly as tough as black. I carry a bag of microfibers and a spray bottle of cleaner behind the driver seat. Use it all the time for fingerprints, dusting, and similar.

let it go...is a car......enjoy it rather than worrying about finger prints that comes right off.......

now if they start denting or scratching up your door....that's a diff issue
