I agree with you and feel your pain. Get a $200 dash cam and this wouldn't be as much trouble. You would know in one minute the car, color and perhaps even the plate.
I hope you find them. Appears to be a white car..
Had they left a note, I would be 1/1000th as angry as I am.
Building security is on its way. Video will be reviewed. Police will be involved.
IF YOU HIT SOMEONE'S CAR LEAVE A F**** NOTE. (oh and DON'T HIT ANYONE'S CAR!) People are dirt bags.
I'll be watching this to see how it turns out. Where I live, if you are hit by another car anywhere other then a public road, you are on your own. I was hit in a parking lot once and called the local police, I was told that they wouldn't even write a report. I recently bought a dash cam for this reason, but worry that it won't make any difference. Good luck, I hate parking with a bunch of other cars.
This crap happens all the time, seems worst in metro areas. My children live in Chicago and it's like bumper cars there. You see cars without side view mirrors (on-street parking is a pain with narrow streets) and parking garage spots are tight and crowded.
Having a nice car in those conditions is a constant worry unless you have private, off-street parking.
Don't count on the police being much help as these types of incidents have been decriminalized (it takes a high property damage value or bodily injury to trigger a criminal violation) as civil matters, also it occurred on private property. They may take a property damage report and give you a case number, mostly for your insurance claim.
This just sucks. People in general just don't give a dam about other peoples property. It sucks. I hope you find out who did it and they have to pay double.
I park my daily driver in a parking deck every day. I have been hit numerous times over the years and never once did the driver leave a note. My wife has had the same experience in the deck where she parks. I never drive my 991.1 to work except on the weekends when the deck is empty.
