Maybe this is a dumb question but if a dash cam catches someone keying or tagging your car like this, what good is the footage? Will police really spend time hunting this person down and making them liable for damages? Is it for insurance claim?

And previously some low life did this. Hasn’t put me off though. I love my car too much to be ‘bullied’ by morons into swapping it for a ‘normal’ nondescript car.

Cause now you know who they are and if you see them in public..... retribution. That's how I would look at it.

Damn - that is some bad luck! But it seems you have the right attitude about it. But still ---- damn!

Goodness! This is just vandalism and sheer nastiness.

My brand new 2019 C4 suffered similar damage in a parking lot the day after delivery. The driver also didn't leave a note... Thankfully the PPF saved my bumper, but it ended up costing 1100$ CAD to polish the bumper and replace the film.

Not a dumb question. I’ll find them, and someone will make them pay.

Good God, do you have an ex-wife following you from parking lot to parking lot?

I do have an ex-wife, but am 99.999% sure it wasn’t her. And she lives over 160 miles away.

Yup. 98% of the time it will be a chevrolet. I always parked my 911 WAY away from other cars. The only time I had an issue was when a chevy impala parked super close to the drivers side of my car on purpose. I parked on the back row on the last spot and my passenger side tires were as close to the curb as possible without touching and this yo yo must have thought it was cute to pull this stunt. There were literally a hundred or more spaces empty between my car and the store. I made sure there wasn’t any damage and then I kicked the hell out of the door on the impala twice and stood there a few minutes but got tired of waiting and left. I hate this happens to anybody but it does because of jealousy and the perpetrator doesn’t think the owner will do anything about it.
