This is from the manual (the “Good to know” app) for my 2019 Porsche Carrera 4S. Shows C40 not A40.

I am just interested if anyone knows where to buy C40 approved oils in the U.S.

Eastsideguy75, are you looking at the European version of the app?

Here is the Porsche Technical bulletin.

where do you live?

A40 for the C4 series. No particulate filter. I don’t think the C2 series has a particulate filter but anyways....

@LexVan - the app showing C40 is from the US version of Apple Store. At the same time, the Porsche manuls website (http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/...filler-opening) is showing A40.

@Jack F - WA state.

I agree some documents give C40, most others give A40.

Where are people buying C40 in the U.S.?

There is a Motul thread and the guy discusses the C40 oil formulations. Seems like the C40 is a compromise for the particulate filter vehicles. So if you have a PF, then I guess you need C40. If you don’t then I would not run the C40 oil since it sound ps like a compromise for particulate filter a the cost of lesser engine protection. Post in the the Motul thread and hopefully they will chime in and educate us a bit more.

You don't, North American cars do not have them!
