Default Speed Limit Display

Yesterday I found the cool little feature that displays the speed limit of the road in the multi-function display. Does this work via a camera reading the posted limits like in BMWs I’ve had or is it using info in the mapping database? I’m guessing the latter as I don’t see any forward facing camera on my car.

I would say with 99.99% certainty that it comes from the GPS and Maps.

Don't get used to it being in the MFD. In the 991.2 it's only available on the GPS screen. Basically useless. Really frustrating when I'm used to it being in the MFD like my Boxster.

I really like the electronic ‘4th dial’ in the display...allows control of so many settings and it’s got a lot of options to configure different information displays.

Also I fitted the Rennline magnetic phone mount and it holds the phone at such a perfect angle just to the right of the gear selector that I almost feel like my car has Apple Carplay! I highly recommend it.

But you do get Apple CarPlay and a rear camera!

How do you make the speed limit to pop up on a 991.2? Thanks

It is only on the Nav screen.

I have found it quite useful albeit I forget it is there most of the time!

I also have it on my 981 and I also find it annoying it’s not on my new 991.2. It’s quite useful to be able to see both the speed limit and one’s current speed at the same time.

Apple CarPlay is definitely a plus though.
