Standard non dimming mirrors
Long time lurker first time poster
Looking at a car with no automatic dimming mirrors (why are they not standard when it's a cheap option??). My question is if they have the blue tinted exterior mirrors?

I have non-dimming mirrors on my 2017 S stripper. My exterior mirrors' surfaces don't seem to be blue, but I have never thought about it.. I will look carefully tomorrow.

Mine arent blue at all. I thought these might be a problem but you can flip interior mirror down at night if necessary . I was pleasantly surprised. I found last 991.2 with dimming mirrors almost too dark.

Only those that don't have them would say they are too dark. If that were true many would complain, no one would want them, etc. Anyway, can one live without them? Sure. Would I buy I car without them that had just about everything else I wanted. Sure. Would I order a car without them? No.

But I do have them. On the Cayman. At night, all I can see are spots of light, but impossible to see the vehicle behind or judge its distance. However, I will say, overall rear and side visibility in the Cayman is worse than the 991, which has excellent visibility in all directions.
I still remember the first time I sat in my 996, and was absolutely thrilled with the visibility (it was something I worried about before testing out the car). The 991 retains this. An extremely well-designed car. 918? Get out your prayer beads before every lane change.
