Default SOUL Sport Cats owner please chime in

So I just had the sport cats installed on my 18 GTS and am not sure if what i'm hearing is normal. The car really does sounds a hell of a lot better but I noticed under hard acceleration it makes sort of a hissing noise, almost like a small exhaust leak. Maybe its just me but it doesn't sound as crisp as it was with factory cats. Theres a chance the install wasn't done properly but the installer is a long time Porsche specialist so I would be surprised if that's the case. Could it still be breaking in? Only driven about 10 miles since install.

I know you have the Cobb tune. Can you tell me how I can check to know which map mine is running? Just picked it up yesterday and haven't plugged in to my car yet. Car feels strong but I can't say for sure as I haven't been able to really get on it.

No new sounds/noises other than some mild turbo spool with Soul high-flow cats on my '19 GTS.

Interesting. I'm going for a custom tune maybe late next week so will have them take another look to make sure there are no leaks or issues.

I believe what you are hearing is the turbo spool. I had the Soul cats and what you are hearing is normal.
On he Cobb handheld AP.. Plug it into the car and go to the area where you can change maps. it will tell you what the current map is.

Stage 0 was selected so I’m assuming it was on stock map. Do I go with stage 2? I have the sport cats and bmc filters

I accidentally started the stage 2 tune without battery charger. Will it drain the battery?

Right, thanks... it loaded and started fine. Gonna take it for a spin in a bit. Should I expect an obvious difference?

Compared to the stock tune? Yeah, 100lb-fot more of torque should be obvious

ummmmm yea there's a very obvious difference. Didn't go too crazy but this thing hauls a$$. I'm still convinced that something isn't right with the cats. Will soon find out.

My car with bypass pipes has a huge air rushing sound of the exhaust, no hiss but definitely a whistle.

That could be a better way of describing it. Love the turbo whistle and the sound of the exhaust is perfect I’m just not convinced that iits designed to sound this way even though It’s only noticeable under WOT.

I had SOUL cats installed at a Indy shop and noticed that the turbos(s) spool up “whoosh” was much more pronounced. Me being OCD, I went under the car and made sure that all the bolts were tightened properly. I did this when I installed the headers myself. If you suspect a leak, definitely have it checked out. I personally can’t imagine a leak, unless there is a crack somewhere, since these cats were a perfect fit.
