I wasn't even looking at them in the porsche usa certified pre owned car locator because I thought they were much more than they are.
Going to need to test drive one too.

thanks!
This is the same thought I had, then I ended up getting a 991.1s when I found one local with a good price. The sound of the NA is awesome to me and since I already have an older track turbo, it made it easy to justify not spending an additional $50k for a turbo at the time.
I agree that if you're looking at .2 for the mods and extra torque, just start at the top with the "real" turbo, you can mod it too for even more power. Only thing is, how do they feel on track stock, or, are you willing to go with springs, LCAs, and other parts make it "feel" right on the track. I can't say as I haven't driven one on the track, but a GT3 comes pretty much ready to roll, has the NA 9k sound going for it and may have a feel you prefer on the track.
Here's a look a 991 turbo on the track:

Manual, rwd, narrow body, turbo - the 991.2 S has it all. If you add sport suspension, sport exhaust and tune it - you basically have a poor persons 997 GT2 in a more road going package.

my base 991.2 C2 is faster than my 991.1 C4S.

I am seriously considering trying to find a 991.2 GTS 2 Manual. Not sure how it could get any better than that.

Kind of....Our equipped as you said 991.2 was a lot softer and more comfortable than our GT4. It is faster, but a GT car will feel faster and more alive somehow, even if older. It is a bit more on the edge, so to speak. The .2 is ridiculously, deceptively fast, but it isn't as involving as a GT car somehow.
