So I take out my car(.2 GTS) for a ride yesterday after its been sitting in the garage for maybe 5-6 days and noticed the valves ticking pretty good until the oil temp reached roughly 180 degrees. I know that's not normal with only 7k miles, should I take it in and have it looked at?

I have 1500miles on my GTS and sounds the same on cold start. It goes away pretty quick so I have not been overly concerned. Now that summer is here and with mild overnight temperatures its barely noticeable in the morning startup.
I've noticed noisy lifters a few times. Strangely, mine seems to have little to do with how long it has been sitting. I've noticed it after sitting just a couple days, and also not heard it after sitting for a couple weeks. I think it has something to do with the position of the cam when stopped. It does go away after it gets warmed up. Happens maybe 1 out of 10 starts, roughly. I'm not too concerned about it - seems to be somewhat normal on these engines. I have a Carrera T.
It certainly has nothing to do with the price of our cars ...
Not necessarily the price but a car of this caliber. Ive never experienced this in any of my previous high performance cars. It almost sounds like an old VW Bug for the first 10 mins of driving. A bit embarrassing if you ask me.
I just bought the car and not sure when the oil was last replaced. Called the dealer to ask about next due service and was told in December or 10k miles which ever comes first. Looks like December as I dont drive it that much.
Mine has always done that, assumed it was oil draining out of the lifters when you dont drive it every day. Clears up within a couple of minutes of driving, normally.

Change your oil. Use Mobil 5W50. Or any of the A40 approved 5W40.
I switched to Liqui Moly 5w40 and not more noise even after sitting. My buddy use Motul 300v 5w40 and no sticky lifter for him either. Both A40 approved oils.
Mine did it once, after sitting for one day, with less than 3k miles and an oil change at 2.5k.
I drove it very gently and it went away within a mile or two. Hasn't done it since that one time.
It is disconcerting, it's the first vehicle that I've owned in decades that did this, particularly since it's just past the break in period.
The last car I owned that had a similar noise was a '70s era Capri, that one came with defective bearings, courtesy of Ford, from the factory. Pretty car, awful build quality (poor rust proofing, window hardware failure and others).
Years ago the sales guy took a new Mercedes off the showroom floor for me to test drive. It had a collapsed lifter than banged loudly. Sales guy let it idle for 10 minutes before it disappeared. Perhaps its German supplier thing.
