I never did like those black wheels
#31
I'm a big fan of black wheels as well, but absolutely the exterior color should be the determining factor. But white is a blank canvas (duh!) and you can make a case for any color wheel (within reason) looking good on it. Black is more aggressive, silver more classy. IMHO the Graphite Blue above looks better with Satin Black than Satin Platinum.
But as much as I like black wheels, neither of my 991s have them because I didn't think they'd look good with them. My DBM Cab has Satin Platinum and my metallic blue GT3 has Gloss Platinum. The Cayenne and Panny does have black wheels, both powder coated after I bought them.

Satin Black will look nice and tie together all of the other Black pieces on your car.

Not a fan of Gold, Bronze, classic or not...stick with Black, Silver or Platinum as on the T.

Great looking - leave them Black! Again, certain colors look best with Black wheels and yours is one of them!

I'm tired of the Gloss Black wheels. They always look dusty/dirty after some driving.
Thinking of changing to Satin Black. I'd powder coat the best way to go?

You have a Gloss Black car and are complaining about Gloss Black wheels?!
But yes, Satin Black is better than Gloss; however, the only solution I found was adding PCCBs.

I agree, mine are impossible to keep looking good for a minute, I have the same car and wheels. I think the 991.2 rotors were made with more iron also (or something like that, I read it somewhere). They rust much easier than the 991.1 cars I have been detailing for my dealership. Of course my water doesn't help i'm sure. I'm trying to figure out what color I'll switch too. If you do go satin please share your experience.
